Leave a gift in your will
By leaving a donation to The Brain Charity in your will, you’ll be ensuring your legacy has a lasting impact.
If you decide to remember our cause in this way, thank you. We are hugely grateful for your support.
Create a free will online with The Brain Charity
The Brain Charity has partnered with Kwil – the simplest way to write your will – to give our supporters the opportunity to write a legally-binding will for free.
The process takes as little as 30 minutes online, and all Kwil wills also come with free lifetime edits.
When completing the will, you will be able to choose to leave a legacy donation to The Brain Charity, if you would like. This is completely optional and there is no obligation to do this.
Click here to start your online will with Kwil now, or call their will-writing experts free on 0800 061 4934 and quote code BRAINCHARITY.

- What’s left after other gifts have been given out
Tax relief when you donate to charity in your will
When you leave a donation to a charity in your will, you are entitled to tax relief.
Your donation can:

- Reduce your overall Inheritance Tax rate, if at least 10% of your total estate is left to a charity or charities
What if I already have a will?
If you already have a will, but want to update it to add a gift to The Brain Charity, you can make an official change called a codicil.
This is a fairly simple amendment which a solicitor can help you with. Find more information on codicils here, and check out The Brain Charity’s legal partners here.
