Filling in a survey

#BrainSurvey: Have your say on neurological delays and misdiagnoses

Our survey will help us understand how to improve the diagnosis issues people with neurological conditions face

We know that for far too many people with neurological conditions, getting a diagnosis can be a lengthy and deeply frustrating process.

That’s not good enough, and we’re determined to change it.

To do that, The Brain Charity is launching a brand new survey, to help us get a better understanding of the difficulties people are facing and to try and understand how and where improvements can be made.

Who can take the survey?

The Brain Charity’s new survey is designed for people with neurological conditions and their family members.

If you or a loved one has been through a diagnosis or has experienced a neurological condition, we want to hear from you.

How can I take the survey?

Click the button below to complete the survey now.

How long will the survey take to complete?

The survey is designed to take around 10 minutes to complete.

What will you be doing with the information?

We will be turning statistics from the responses to the survey into a written report. This report will form the basis of our campaign to improve care and speed up rates of diagnosis.

We hope to launch the report early next year and raise awareness of this issue on a national scale.

Is the survey confidential?

The survey is completely confidential.

While we are asking for detailed information in order to build an accurate picture of the care that people are receiving, all data is anonymous and will be stored securely.

Are there any other ways I can complete the survey?

Alternatively, you can complete a paper copy in The Brain Charity’s centre, or click here to download and print a paper copy at home.

Completed paper copies of the survey can be scanned to campaigns@thebraincharity.org.uk or posted to The Brain Charity, Norton Street, Liverpool, L3 8LR.

Please email campaigns@thebraincharity.org.uk or call 0151 207 8534 if you need any support with filling out the survey, require a printed copy posted to you or require it in a different language or format.

Are there any other ways I can help?

Please share the survey link (www.bit.ly/TBCSurvey22) with friends and family members, and on social media with the hashtag #BrainSurvey.

You can also click here to download posters and flyers which can be printed or shared. These include a QR code people can scan on their mobile phones to access the survey online.

As part of our report, we are also looking for people to be interviewed about the challenges they have faced with delayed or misdiagnosis.

If you are happy to share your story as a case study as part of the report, please let us know by emailing campaigns@thebraincharity.org.uk.
