SPOTLIGHT ON: The Alzheimer’s Society’s dementia e-news helps solve common questions

Help and support for people with dementia in Liverpool, Wirral and Sefton

The Alzheimer’s Society’s dementia e-news is an email information update service to keep you informed about dementia services and support in your area. It is now available in Liverpool and Wirral, as well as Sefton.

The email update include research news, details of useful organisations both locally and nationally and much more. Dementia e-news can also help with the more challenging aspect of this condition by asking for people’s hints and tips on how they have solved a particular dementia dilemma, such as getting up in the middle of the night, poor appetite or moving home.

Comments are collated anonymously and an information sheet is created for everyone to use and share. This service also gives you access to a range of local factsheets including welfare benefits support and day care in your area.

If you would like to keep up to date with dementia-related matters in your area, all you have to do is email information worker Linda Lawson at linda.lawson@alzheimers.org.uk including your name, email address and telephone number (this will only be used if the email does not send).

The Brain Charity’s SPOTLIGHT ON series highlights the work being carried out to raise awareness of different conditions by charities, groups and individuals. To submit an article, please email us.
